A song, a dance, a legend, a custom, a feast, a dress may tell what people have passed through, what they put on their table, what clothes they wore and what were their beliefs.  The folklore is the living history of every community, every village or hamlet.

     A great variety of authentic folklore is preserved сn the region of Chech in quite small area.

     The folklore wealth of Chech is spread throughout the years by the Kochanski slavei (the Kochan’s nightingales) - a group for authentic folklore from Satovcha village, the men's group from Pletena village, the school and community amateur groups in the villages Pletena, Satovcha, Kochan, Vaklinovo, Valkosel, Slashten, Kribul and Tuhovishta.
